Dedicated to producing
high quality food
in harmony
with nature.
Diversified.
Holistic.
Regenerative.
Our goal is to grow healthy, delicious food in harmony with nature and to support our family and staff, our land, and our community in the process. Our farming practices are rooted in our desire to provide excellent quality of life for people and livestock alike and to improve the health and vitality of the soil and our environment.
We are part of a hub of farmer collaboration and community action and envision a future where farming and farmers thrive, and all people and communities have access to high quality, nutritious food.
Pastured Poultry: Turkeys
Our turkeys are raised on pasture and fed certified-organic, locally-milled feed. We process our birds humanely on the farm and sell turkey parts throughout the year and whole birds for Thanksgiving. By moving the flocks regularly, we are able to increase soil health and fertility and manage pests while creating a healthy life for our birds who in turn produce great tasting meat.
Thanksgiving Turkeys are now available for pre-order. Quantities are limited, so order yours today!
Grassfed Beef
Our Angus cattle are raised on the farm from birth to butcher, eating grass from start to finish. Our animals are rotated across the farm’s eighty-seven acres, stimulating soil life with each passing season. We also lease additional acreage from Columbia Land Conservancy and are grateful for the Land Conservancy’s ongoing work to preserve farmland, increase ecological health, and connect people to the land.
Farm Store
& Kitchen
Our Farm Store offers foods from our farm as well as from other farms in the region. We take great care to source items for our store and kitchen that match our farming and community values – focusing on organic practices, local producers, fair trade standards, cooperative models, and low impact packaging. Our goal is to make sure you go home with great ingredients for simple, delicious meals.
Our kitchen is also available as a resource for other farmers and food producers.
ABOUT US
Dog Wood Farm is owned and operated by Henry Corsun and Sara Querbes, with a bit of help from Finley (2020) and Sophie (2022). Although farming skipped two generations, Henry has always been a farmer at heart - loving the land (in all weather), tending to animals, building and fixing things, crunching numbers. Sara came to farming through Henry, and food - a graduate of a health-supportive culinary school and top-notch chef. Sara cares deeply about the role of food in society. In addition to farming, Sara is pursuing her PhD in Sociology with a focus on Women’s and Gender Studies.
